RESOLUTION <br />• <br />Accepting Property (National Ground Intelligence Center Building) <br />from the U.S. Government <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that <br />the City hereby accepts from the United States government all right, title and interest in <br />and to a parcel of real property, including any improvements thereon, located on 7a' <br />Street and East Jefferson Street, formerly occupied by the National Ground Intelligence <br />Center (the "Property"). Pursuant to the requirements of Public Law 106-398 (copy <br />attached), the Property: <br />1. Shall be conveyed to the City without consideration; <br />2. Shall revert to the United.States if the Property is not used for economic <br />development purposes during the five year period after conveyance to the <br />City; and <br />3. Shall be subject to the limitations on subsequent conveyances imposed by <br />• Public Law 106-398, including payment by the City of the Property's fair <br />market value if conveyed to a private entity. <br />The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a deed of conveyance, in form <br />approved by the City Attorney, and the City Attorney and Director of Economic <br />Development are hereby directed to take whatever steps are necessary to effect the <br />above-described conveyance. <br />Approved by Council <br />July 16, 2001 <br />�i <br />1 k of City Council <br />• <br />
