RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />• FOR PROPERTY AT 1901 THOMSON ROAD <br />(WESLEY MEMORIAL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH) <br />WHEREAS, the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church has requested a special use <br />permit to allow operation of a child care center at 1901 Thomson Road for up to forty-eight (48) <br />children; this property being further identified as Parcels 1, 2 and 23 on City Real Property Tax <br />Map 12, having, collectively, approximately 272 feet of frontage on Thomson Road, 320 feet of <br />frontage on Emmet Street, 172 feet of frontage on Lewis Mountain Road and containing <br />approximately 73,180 square feet of land or 1.68 acres; <br />WHEREAS, following a joint public hearing before this Council and the Planning <br />Commission, duly advertised and held on April 10, 2001, this Council finds that such use will <br />conform to the criteria applicable to special permits generally under Chapter 34 of the City Code; <br />now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that a special <br />use permit is hereby approved and granted to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, owner <br />of the property at 1901 Thomson Road, to allow operation of a child care center for up to forty- <br />eight (48) children. This special use permit is conditioned upon the following: <br />• 1. Administrative approval of the final site plan. <br />2.
