RESOLUTION <br />• <br />WHEREAS, at the request of City Council, the Virginia Department of Transportation <br />(VDOT) has been working to re -design the originally proposed Jefferson Park Avenue <br />replacement bridge design plan in an effort to reduce the width of the bridge while retaining the <br />originally proposed multi -modal improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, VDOT and City staff have met with the Fry's Spring Neighborhood <br />Association and the Jefferson Park Avenue Neighborhood Association to identify additional <br />design issues, and VDOT has submitted a new preliminary design drawing, dated July 2, 2008 <br />(attached); now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that this <br />Council hereby approves the new, reduced width of 67 feet for the Jefferson Park Avenue <br />Replacement Bridge as shown on the attached drawing by VDOT, dated July 2, 2008. A certified <br />copy of this Resolution, with the design drawing attached, shall be mailed to the Fry's Spring <br />Neighborhood Association and the Jefferson Park Avenue Neighborhood Association by the <br />Clerk of Council. <br />Approved by Council <br />September 2, 2008 <br />�J <br />CLeA of City Council 1 <br />n <br />LJ <br />
