RESOLUTION GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />TO ALLOW OUTDOOR STORAGE OF MASONRY MATERIALS <br />AT 900 HARRIS STREET <br />WHEREAS, Southside Builders Supply Corporation, with the consent of Z to A, LLC, <br />owner of the property at 900 Harris Street, has requested a special use permit with respect to the <br />property identified on City Tax Map 34 as Parcels 6 and 7, consisting of approximately 25,004 <br />square feet ("Subject Property"), to allow use of a portion of the Subject Property for outdoor <br />storage of masonry materials; <br />WHEREAS, the Subject Property is classified as "IC" (Industrial Corridor) zoning <br />district and, pursuant to §34-480 of the City Code, such modifications for use of the property are <br />allowed by Special Use Permit; and <br />WHEREAS, following a joint public hearing before this Council and the Planning <br />Commission, duly advertised and held on July 14, 2009, this Council finds that such use is <br />allowed under City Code Section 34-480, and will conform to the criteria applicable to special <br />permits generally under Chapter 34 of the City Code; now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that a special <br />use permit is hereby approved and granted to allow use of a portion of the property at 900 Harris <br />Street for outdoor storage of masonry materials. Approval of this special use permit is <br />conditioned upon: <br />(1) Restricting deliveries to the Subject Property to the hours between 6:00 a.m. and <br />8:00 p.m., with no noise audible beyond the property lines outside of those hours. <br />(2) Working with Neighborhood Development Services staff on a plan to provide <br />reasonable and appropriate landscaping on the Harris Street side of the site. <br />Approved by City Council on August 17, 2009 <br />"444., /f lianL4,4A./ <br />Barbara K.
