136 <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: <br /> <br />6TH STREET <br /> <br />$9,765 - PARKING LOT DEVELOPMENT AT LEVY AVE. & <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendri× stated that bids had been received <br />concerning the parking lot development and they were <br />higher than anticipated, though staff had been able to <br />slightly reduce the cost. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Hall, seconded by Mr. Barnes, the <br />appropriation of $9,765 for the parking lot development at <br />Levy Avenue and 6th Street was offered and carried over to <br />the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $81,334.30 - PRIVATE DONATION TO MUNICIPAL BAND <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that an anomymous donation of <br />stock had been received by the City Treasurer which was to <br />be converted to cash and donated to the Muncipal Band. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jimmy Simmons, representing the Municipal Band, <br />stated that the Band was overwhelmed and grateful for the <br />anonymous donation which would be used for a band shelter. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Mr. Towe, the <br />appropriation of $81,334.300 as a private donation to the <br />Municipal Band was offered and carried over to the next <br />meeting for consideration° <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $5,955.75 - "l-FOR-LIFE" FUNDS <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that staff recommended that the <br />Si-for-Life State funds be appropriated to the Rescue <br />Squad and Emergency Medical Services Council as has been <br />done in the past. <br /> <br /> Mro Towe questioned what other agencies were eligible <br />to receive this funding. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that to his knowledge only the <br />Fire Department would be eligible. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Towe, seconded by Dr. Hall, the <br />appropriation of $5,955.75 of "l-for-Life" funds was <br />offered and carried over to the next meeting for <br />consideration. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $49,489.41 - JOB TRAINING AND PARTNERSHIP ACT <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated the supplemental appropriation to <br />the Job Training and Partnership Act was federal funding <br />which needed to be appropriated because the City is the <br />administering agency for JTPA. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, <br />the appropriation of $49,489.41 was offered and carried <br />over to the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: RENEWING SIDEWALK CAFE PERMIT FOR SAL'S ITALIAN <br />DELIGHT <br /> Mr. Brian Donato, representing Sal's Italian Delight, <br /> requested renewal of the sidewalk cafe permit. <br /> <br /> Mr. Huja stated that the problem of the stability of <br />the pillars surrounding Sal's sidewalk cafe had been <br />resolved and staff recommended renewal of the permit. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mr. Towe, the <br />resolution renewing the permit for the sidewalk cafe for <br />Sal's Italian Delight was unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Giuseppe Finazzo, T/A Sal's Italian Delight, <br /> <br /> <br />
