<br />member's knowledge, (i) only public business matters lawfully exempted from open
<br />meeting requirements by Virginia law were discussed in the executive meeting to which
<br />this certification resolution applies, and (ii) only such public business matters as were
<br />identified in the motion convening the executive meeting were heard, discussed or
<br />considered by the Council.

<br />None. Absent: Mr. Cox) to a three-year term on the Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport
<br />Commission. This term will expire on December 1, 2001

<br />On motion by Mr. Caravati, seconded by Ms. Richards, Mr. Kevin Cox and Mr.
<br />Nathan Van Hooser were appointed (Ayes: Mr. Caravati, Ms. Daugherty, Ms. Richards,
<br />Mr. Toscano. Noes: None. Absent: Mr. Cox) to the Jefferson Area Bicycle and
<br />Walking Advisory Committee.

<br /> On motion by Mr. Caravati, seconded by Mr. Toscano, Mr. Jeffrey C. Fracher

<br /> Council met in a work session on this date with the following members present:

<br />TRANSPORTATION WORK SESSION
<br />
<br />Meadowcreek Parkway
<br />
<br /> Ms. Daugherty said she is interested in building a road with as little ill effect as
<br />possible, and is interested in exploring the two-lane option for Meadowcreek Parkway.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Will Reiley, landscape architect hired by the City to explore design
<br />alternatives for the Meadowcreek Parkway, said he will be presenting a very preliminary
<br />status report at this time. Mr. Reiley said he has received computer files from the
<br />Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and is looking at the impact of four,
<br />three and two lanes on Mclntire Park. Mr. Reiley said he feels the water basins proposed
<br />by VDOT can be eliminated. Mr. Reiley said VDOT has designed a road for a 45-50
<br />m.p.h, speed, and he feels the cut and fill can be substantially reduced by designing the
<br />road for 40 m.p.h, speed. Mr. Reiley said he believes the impact on the Park can further
