RESOLUTION: <br /> <br />Approving Extension for FOCUS/TeenSight <br />($17,000) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City advanced funds to FOCUS of Charlottesville and <br />Albemarle for start-up funds for its Teensight program, and FOCUS executed an <br />Amended Note for $17,000 on August 5, 1996, with a due date of August 15, <br />1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City wishes to extend the due date on the balance of the <br />loan, conditioned upon execution of an Amended Note by FOCUS; now, therefore <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia <br />that the due date of the above-referenced loan is hereby extended to August 15, <br />1999, provided that FOCUS execute an Amended Note evidencing the new terms <br />of its indebtedness. <br /> <br />d. GRANT~G A PERMIT FOR AN OUTDOOR CAFE <br />FOR BETTY'S RESTAURANT AT 201 EAST MAIN STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mayberry, Inc. has applied to City Council for a permit to operate <br />an outdoor cafe on the pedestrian mall at 201 East Main Street in connection with the <br />operation of its duty licensed restaurant (Betty's Restaurant); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council finds that the proposed outdoor cafe is in keeping with <br />the intent of the pedestrian mall, can add significantly to successful commerce in the <br />downtown area, will not unreasonably restrict the movement of pedestrian traffic and will <br />not endanger the public health, safety or welfare; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED that Mayberry., Inc. is hereby granted a permit to operate an <br />outdoor cafe on the pedestrian mall at 201 East Main Street subject to the following <br />conditions and terms: <br /> <br /> <br />
