53 <br /> <br /> Mr. Peter Kleeman, a City resident, asked -~nether there is a policy statement <br />about transportation planning, and if so, what are the goals, who is setting the goals, and <br />who is testing the consistency of the goals. <br /> <br /> Mr. Kenneth Lee, an Albemarle County resident, asked why ail County residents <br />should pay for transportation in the urban area, and suggested that a transit district be <br />created. <br /> <br /> Mr. Francis Fife, a City resident, asked for an updated cost figure for building the <br />Route 29 Bypass. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Pfaltz, a City resident, asked if a right-of-way for an eastern connector <br />has been designated. <br /> <br /> Mr. Martin responded that no rome has been designated and it is currently being <br />studied. <br /> <br /> Mr. Stratton Salidis, a City resident, asked about establishing a community design <br />center that would make all zoning and land use information for the City and County <br />available to the public, ard asked if it makes sense to build the Meadowcreek Parkway <br />when new technology and alternatives are available. <br /> <br /> Ms. Humphris said a design center is in the works.
