Dr. Symons said <br />that the staffing cuts in the first and second years can likely be done with little pain, but <br />the third year will be harder. The <br />Accreditation Committee presented the certificate of accreditation to ChiefJ. W. <br />Rittenhouse. <br /> <br /> Chief Rittenhouse thanked the Accreditation Committee and the Police <br />Department staff for their hard work over the last two years and said this is a proud <br />moment for the Department and the City. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Mr. Peter Kleeman, 407 Hedge Street, said that the Democrats for Change <br />platform including a moratorium on all new road construction until a new alternative <br />transportation plan is developed. Mr. Kleeman said that the Meadowcreek Parkway will <br />do little or nothing to alleviate traffic, but Council appears to be moving ahead in spite of <br />this. Mr. Kleeman said there has been little public involvement in the intersection design <br />or at work sessions. Mr. Kleeman urged Council not to move ahead until an analysis of <br />data can be done and to declare a moratorium until alternative transportation plans can be <br />considered <br /> <br />P ,UBLIC HEARING/ORDINANCE: RELOCATION OF SANITARY SEWER <br />EASEMENT - MARRIOTT HOTEL, WEST MAIN STREET <br /> <br /> Mr. Clyde Gouldman, City Attorney, explained that the sanitary sewer line is <br />being relocated and the old easement abandoned at the request of the City. <br /> <br /> The public hearing was opened, but as there were no speakers, the public hearing <br />was closed. <br /> <br /> <br />
