RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO SIGN DEED FOR SALE OF LAND AT CORNER <br />OF MEADE [ MARKET STREET <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that the City had been asked to sell a <br />small parcel of land at Meade and Market Street and it was <br />staff's recommendation to sell the property, at its appraised <br />value of $14,100, with the following conditions: 1) that the <br />lot be bought with an adjacent lot, 2) that the two parcels be <br />combined into one, and 3) that no structure be placed to obstruct <br />the sight from the property, and that this provision be a <br />covenant to run-with the land. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Hall, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, the <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to s~gn a deed for sale of <br />land at the corner of Meade and Market Street was unanimously <br />approved by Council. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the <br />City the following document, in form approved by the City Attorney: <br /> <br />Contract of Purchase between City of Charlottesville <br />(Seller) and David Hash or Assigns (Purchaser) for <br />sale of property located at 1300 East Market Street. <br /> <br /> A copy of such document shall be kept on file with the <br />minutes of the Council meeting at which this resolution was <br />adopted. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO SIGN EASEMENT FOR PROPERTY NEAR <br />WYNRIDGE DRIVE <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that the gas easement was needed to <br />provide gas to a subdivision in Albemarle County. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, the <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign an easement for <br />property near Wynridge Drive was unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the <br />City the following document, in form approved by the City Attorney: <br /> <br />Deed of Easement granted by Trustees of Minor <br />Land Trust for City to install gas lines near <br />Wynridge Drive (Minor Townhouses)in Albemarle <br />County. <br /> <br /> A copy of such document shall be kept on file with the <br />minutes of the Conncil meeting at which this resolution was <br />adopted. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: <br /> <br />DISTRICT <br /> <br />AMENDING BOUNDARIES OF CENTRAL CITY REHABILITATION <br /> <br /> Mr. Barnes asked Mr. Huja why areas which seemed appropriate <br />in Belmont were not included in the Central City Rehabilitation <br />District. <br /> <br /> Mr. Huja explained that in order to qualify areas must be <br />contiguous. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, the <br />resolution amending the boundaries of the Central City Rehabili- <br />tation District was unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> Mr. Buck stated that Council recommended a ?.4% increase <br />in the City Manager's salary, with a portion of the increase <br />in the form of disability and life insurance. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Mr. Barnes, the <br />salary and benefits for the City Manager were unanimously <br />approved by Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
