11 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: VACATION OF A PORTION OF AN ALLEY ON SOUTHEAST SIDE OF <br />RIDGE STREET (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND <br />DISCONTINUING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY OFF RIDGE STREET" Which was <br />offered at the April 1st meeting, was approved by the following <br />vote. Ayes: Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Hall. Noes: <br />None. Absent: Dr. Gunter. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br />There were no matters by the public. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS: AUTHORIZATION TO REPAIR SIDEWALK NEAR HIGH SCHOOL <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that the Parks an.d Recreation Director <br />had informed him that a sidewalk near Charlottesville High School <br />was in need of filling in to avoid erosion. Mr. Hendrix requested <br />Council's authorization to expend $2,800 from the project budget <br />to cover the expense. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Dr. Hall,. Council <br />unanimously authorfed the expending of the $2,800. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Hall, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, Council <br /> unanimously voted to meet in executive session to discuss personnel <br /> matters, disposition of public property, and potential litigation <br /> as exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(!), f2) and (6) of the Virginia <br /> Freedom of Information Act.
