Hampton Inn motel in <br />Seminole Square area <br />Approving local allocation of industrial <br />development bonds <br /> <br />BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR <br /> <br />BY Jeanne Cox (signed) <br /> <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS May 14, 1985 <br /> <br /> Council met in special session on this date following a <br />joint public hearing with the Planning Commission with the <br />following members present: Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, <br />Dr. Gunter. Absent: Dr. Hall. <br /> <br /> on motion by Dr. Gunter, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, Council <br />voted to meet in executive session to discuss legal matters as <br />exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(6) of the Virginia Freedom of <br />Information Act. <br /> <br /> Council reconvened in open session in the basement conference <br />room. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT BONDS FOR LANGHAM- <br />HILL PETROLEUM CORPORATION <br /> <br />Ms. Martha Garrison, representing Langham-Hill Petroleum <br />Corporation, requested approval of industrial development bonds <br />($1,484,000 from the local allocation and $295,000 from the <br />state allocation) for the expansion of Langham-Hill. Ms. Garrison <br />noted that the expansion would allow for the employment of twenty <br />persons locally. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Gunter, seconded by. Mrs. Gleason, the <br />resolution authorizing industrial development bonds for Langham- <br />Hill. Petroleum Corporation was unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Industrial Development Authority of the City <br />of Charlottesville, Virginia (the "Authority") has considered the <br />application of Langham-.Hill Petroleum Co., Ltd. (the "Partnership") <br />requesting the issuance of-the Authority's industrial development <br /> <br /> <br />
