<br />I. ADOPTION OF BUDGET
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager has caused to be prepared
<br />and presented to City Council a proposed utility budget
<br />for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1985, and ending
<br />June 30, 1986,
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
<br />City of Charlottesville that such document and the
<br />estimates and revenues and expenditures therein proposed
<br />by the City Manager and debated and adjuste'd by the City
<br />Council, are hereby adopted as the annual Utility Fund
<br />budget of the City of Charlottesville, for informative
<br />and fiscal planning purposes only, for the .fiscal year
<br />beginning July 1, 198S, and ending June 30, 1986; and
<br />that a true and correct copy of the same, as adopted,
<br />shall be kept on file in the records of the Clerk of the
<br />Council.

<br />II. GAS FUND APPROPRIATION
<br />
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottes-
<br />ville, that there is hereby appropriated from the Gas Fund,
<br />for the operation of the gas utility during the fiscal year
<br />beginning July 1, 1985 and ending June 30, 1986, the sum
<br />of $12,558,031, or the amount of revenue actually received
<br />by such fund, whichever is the greater amount. Such
<br />appropriation shall be effective July 1, 1985.

<br />III. WATER FUND APPROPRIATION
<br />
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottes-
<br />ville, that there is hereby appropriated from the Water Fund,
<br />for the operation of the water Utility during the fiscal
<br />year beginning July 1, 1985 and ending June 30, 1986, the
<br />sum of $2,332,690, or the amount of revenue actually
<br />received by such fund, whichever is the greater amount.
<br />Such appropriation shall be effective July 1, 1985.

<br />IV. WASTEWATER FUND APPROPRIATION
<br />
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottes-
<br /> ville, that there is hereby appropriated from the Wastewater
<br /> Fund, for the operation of the wastewater utility during
<br /> the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1985 and ending June 30,
<br /> 1986, the sum of $2,308,779, or the amount of revenue
<br /> actually received by such fund, whichever is the greater
<br /> amount. Such appropriation shall be effective July 1, 1985.

<br />APPROPRIATION: $13,000 AFTER SCHOOL/SUMMER CARE PROGRAM (2nd
<br />reading)
<br />
<br /> Mr. Buck recommended referring the After School/Summer
<br /> Care Study to the Social Development Commission for review.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that City staff is presently involved
<br /> in the study and that he preferred that they complete their
<br /> study, at which time it could be sent to the Social Development
<br /> Commission if desired.
<br />
<br /> The $13,000 appropriation for the After School/Summer
<br /> Care Program which was offered at the meeting of June 3rd,
<br /> was approved by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Barnes,
<br /> Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: None.
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottes-
<br /> ville that the sum of $13,000 is hereby appropriated from
<br /> the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to expenditure
<br /> account 01-61010 for the expansion of the Creative Learning
<br /> School Summer Program (CLAS/S).
