6S <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $11,000 PARKING STUDY (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The $1!;000 appropriation for the parking study which <br />was offered at the meeting of July 1st, was approved by the <br />following vote. Ayes: Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, <br />Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Council of the City of Charlottes- <br />ville, Virginia that the sum of $11,000 is hereby appropriated <br />to expenditure account 11-33080 in the Grants Fund for a parking <br />study to be conducted under an agreement with the Thomas <br />Jefferson Planning District Commission. This work shall be <br />funded in part by a Section 112 planning and programming grant <br />received by TJPDC from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) <br />and the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation (VDH&T). <br /> <br /> This appropriation shall be subject to the receipt by the <br />Grants Fund of $9,350 in FHWA funds, and $825 in VDH&T funds. <br />The sum of $82S shall be appropriat.ed from the unappropriated <br />fund balance of the General Fund and transferred to the Grants <br />Fund as the City's matching share for these grants. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: <br />(2nd ~elding) <br /> <br />S14,700 - TRANSIT PLANNING AND PROGRAMMING GRANT <br /> <br /> The $14,700 appropriation for the Transit Planning and <br />Programming Grant which was offered at the meeting of July 1st, <br />was approved by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Barnes, Mr. <br />Buck, Mrs. Gleason, Dr~ Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Council of the City of Charlottes- <br />ville, Virginia that the sum of $14,700 is hereby appropriated <br />to expenditure account 11-33100 in the Grants Fund for planning <br />activities, including the united transportation planning work <br />program, facilities inventory, data base maintenance and <br />administration activities to be conducted under a contract with <br />the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission. This work <br />shall be funded in p~rt from a Section 112 planning and pro- <br />gramming grant received by TJPDC from the Federal Highway <br />Administration (FHWA) and the Virginia Department of Highways <br />and Transportation (VDH&T). <br /> <br /> This appropriation shall be subject to the receipt by the <br />Grants Fund of $12,495 in FHWA funds, and $1,102 in VDH&T funds. <br />The sum of $1,103 is appropriated from the unappropriated fund <br />balance of the General Fund and shall be transferred to the <br />Grants Fund as the City's matching share of such grants. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $3,000 TRANSIT TECHNICAL STUDIES GRANT (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The $3,000 appropriation for the Transit Technical Studies <br />Grant which was offered at the meeting of July lst', was approved <br />by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, <br />Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Counci~l of the City of Charlottes- <br />ville, Virginia that the sum of $3,000 is hereby appropriated <br />to expenditure account 11-33'090 in the Grants Fund for planning <br />activities to include a transit service survey to be conducted <br />under an agreement with the Thomas Jefferson Planning District <br />Commission. This work shall be funded in part by a Section 8 <br />transit technical studies grant received by TJPDC from the <br />Urban Mass Transit Administration (UMTA) and the Virginia <br />Department of.Highways and Transportation ~VDH&T). <br /> <br /> This appropriation shall be subject to the receipt by <br />the Grants Fund of $2,400 in UMTA funds and $300 in VDH&T funds. <br />The sum of $300 is appropriated from the unappropriated fund <br />balance of the General FUnd and shall be transferred to the <br />Grants Fund as the City's matching amount for these grants. <br /> <br /> <br />
