We would much prefer, <br />however, to continue to enforce our ten-year- <br />old housing code which has served the City <br />well and is tailored to its particular needs. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: APPOINTING VIEWERS TO CONSIDER CLOSING A PORTION <br />OF HARDY DRIVE FROM ENTRANCE TO WESTHAVEN HOUSING PROJECT AT <br />PAGE STREET TO ITS TERMINUS AT NORTHWEST CORNER OF WESTHAVEN <br /> <br /> Mr. Wiley stated that the Housing Authority had <br />petitioned to have Hardy Drive closed which woul'd give <br />the Authority control of the street which would help <br />alleviate the law enforcement problems in the area. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Dr. Gunter, the <br />resolution appointing viewers to consider closing Hardy <br />Drive was unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has received a petition requesting <br />vacation of Hardy Drive from its entrance to Westhaven <br />Housing Project at Page Street to the terminus of Hardy <br />Drive at the northeast corner of the Westhaven Housing <br />Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it appears to Council that the notice required <br />by Section 1S.1-364 of the Code of Virginia (19S0), as <br />amended, has been duly advertised; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville that Ms. Mary Jane Haynes, Messrs. W. J. <br />Copeland and H. P.
