Ayes: <br /> Mr. Barnes, Mr. BuCk, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter. Noes: None <br /> Absent: Dr. Hall. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: REZONING PROPERTY AT REAR OF 1140 ROSE HILL DRIVE <br />FROM~-i TO B-1 <br /> <br /> Mr. Huja stated that the Planning Commission recommended <br />rezoning of the rear of 1140 Rose Hill Drive for the following <br />reasons: 1) It is in harmony with the Land Use Plan of the <br />Comprehensive Plan, 2) It will not have a significant adverse <br />impact on the surrounding neighborhood, 3) It will allow the <br />zoning boundary to conform with the property boundary. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Dr. Gunter, the <br />ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING THE <br />DISTRICT MAP INCORPORATED IN SECTION 31-4 OF THE ZONING <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, <br />AS AMENDED, BY THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1140 ROSE <br />HILL DRIVE" was offered and carried over to the next meeting <br />for consideration. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br /> There were no matters by the public. <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that staff is continuing to work with <br />the parties involved in the Short Street closing. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix distributed a report to Council concerning <br />gypsy moths. Mr. Hendrix stated that extensive public <br />education would be necessary to deal effectively with the <br />problem and added that it will be an expensive project. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS: BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Dr. Gunter, Mr. <br />Robert Davis' term on the Personnel Appeals Board was unanimously <br />extended until Mr. Davis is reappointed or until another <br />appointment is made. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Gunter, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, Council <br />voted to meet in executive session to discuss personnel and <br />legal matters as exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1) and (6) <br />of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act. <br /> <br />ing <br /> <br />was adjourned. <br /> <br />NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON Wednesday, <br />October 9, 1985 AT 12:00 noon IN THE Jefferson School Annex, <br />Room 19, 4th Street. <br /> <br />THE PROPOSED AGENDA IS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Lunch meeting with School Board <br /> <br />129 <br /> <br />BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR BY: Jeanne CoX C.signed) <br /> <br /> <br />
