133 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it now appears that portions of the amount <br />originally appropriated for that purpose are not needed, and <br />that these unneeded funds should be reappropriated for <br />handicapped access improvements to parks and recreation <br />facilities; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that: <br /> <br /> 1) The appropriation previously made to expenditure <br />account 05-18000 for fiscal year 1985-86 is hereby reduced <br />by $36,000, and <br /> <br /> 2) The appropriation previously made to expenditure <br />account 05-52000 for handicapped access improvements in the <br />same fiscal year to parks and recreational facilities is <br />hereby increased by $36,000. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO SIGN DEED CONVEYING PROPERTY ON <br />RIALTO STREET <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that the owners of the property on <br />Rialto were interested in marketing the property and requested <br />that the lot be squared off by the City sehling a small strip <br />of land at its appraised value of $345. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Gunter, seconded by Dr. Hall, the <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign a deed conveying <br />property on Rialto Street was unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute on behalf <br />of the City the following document, in form approved by the <br />City Attorney: <br /> <br />Q~iYclaim deed between the City of Charlottesville <br />and Ann Kidd Moore in connection with parce.1 of <br />land on corner of Rockland Avenue and Rialto Street. <br /> <br /> A copy of such document shall be kept on file with the <br />minutes of the Council meeting at which this resolution was <br />adopted. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: REZONING PROPERTY AT REAR OF 1140 ROSE HILL DRIVE FROM <br />R-1 TO B-1 (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE- <br />ORDAINING SECTION 31-106 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, <br />VIRGINIA, 1976, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO ZONING OF AMUSEMENT <br />ARCADES" which was offered at the meeting of October 7th, was <br />approved by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, <br />Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: None. Absent: Mrs. Gleason. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br />There were no matters by the public. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Mr. Barnes stated that a petition requesting permit <br />parking for 8th Street, N.E. had been given to him. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that it would be determined if the <br />area in question was designated for permit parking, a field <br />survey would be conducted, and the Traffic Engineer would make <br />recommendations. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Gunter, seconded by Dr. Hall, Council <br />voted to meet in executive session to discuss personnel matters, <br />acquisition of property and pending litigation as exempted by <br />Section 2.1-344(a)(1), (2), and (6) of the Virginia Freedom of <br />Information Act. <br /> <br /> <br />
