The City Council hereby expresses its intent to self-insure against claims for bodily injury and property damage liability, arising out of the operation of the City's motor vehicle fleet,, excluding school buses. PRESENTATION: RICHARD PARKER, CENTRAL VIRGINIA EDUCATIONAL TELEVISION CORPORATION Mr. Richard Parker, representing Central Virginia Educational Television Corporation, requested Council's support for Central Virginia's application before the Federal Communications Commission and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration to install a transmitter and to set up a studio in Charlottesville in order to serve an area that is presently not served. Mr. Buck asked if other applications had also been submitted. Mr. Parker responded that he thought WVPT out of Harrisonburg was pursuing approval for a transmitter th6ugh he did not believe they intended on having a local studio.
