Gleason, seconded by Mr. Barnes, the <br />Dogwood Festival was unanimously granted use of Mclntire <br />Park from April 1Sth through 27th and. waived the license and <br />fees. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION: <br /> <br /> Ms. Alicia Lugo, Chairman of the School Board, stated <br />that the total school budget for FY 86-87 was $21,745,309, <br />of which $14,737,448 would be the local share. Ms. Lugo <br />listed the following major changes in the FY 86~87 operating <br />budget: 1) average 6.4% salary mncrease for teachers and 5% <br />increase for all non-teaching personnel, 2) reduction of one <br />teaching position and one administrator, 3) increase in <br />Piedmont Regional Education Program by $79,000, 4) Reduction <br />in Charlottesville-Albemarle Technical Education Center funding <br />by $15,000, 5) reduction in Special Education Tuition costs by <br />$36,00.0, 6) reduction in fuel and electricity budget by <br />$32,000, 7) i~crease of $58,902 for food service program, <br />8) no increase in hospitalization rate, and 9) expansion of <br />summer school program for pre-school and elementary school <br />youngsters, an ~ncrease of $76,000 <br /> <br />185 <br /> <br /> <br />
