Absent: Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. <br /> <br /> Council toured the sites of drainage problems and <br />proposed projects throughout the City with staff from the <br />Department of Public Works. Sites for TSM projects were <br />also pointed out to Council along the way. <br /> <br /> was adj ourne d. ~~,~4A~__ ?~L . <br /> <br />P~t __ -- Cl~k - ' <br /> <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER - June 2, 1986 <br /> <br /> Council met in regular session on this date with the <br />following members present: Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. <br />Gleason, Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Dr. Hall, the <br />minutes of May 19th were unanimously approved as presented. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Dr. Gunter, the <br />minutes of May 20th were unanimously approved as presented. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Mr. George Rex, representing the Rivanna Chapter of the <br />National Railway Historical Society, Inc. requested that <br />Council join the Railway Historical Society in asking the <br />CSX Corporation to reconsider closing the turntable and <br />associated trackage within the City. <br /> <br /> Mr. Buck stated that he was concerned that the <br />buildings owned by the CSX Corporation would be boarded up <br />as a result of closing the turntable and would become a <br />blight. Mr. Buck requested that the staff provide Council <br />with a report concerning the property owned by the CSX <br />Corporation. <br /> <br /> <br />
