Mr. Buck noted that the spaces
available in a garage would be in addition to those
required on-site for the Vinegar Hill South development.

Mr. Jones urged the Council to maintain control of
the use of the parking garage.

Mrs. Gleason stated that she felt that the developer
should be able to maintain some control because of the
private funds involved.

As there were no other speakers the public hearing
was closed.

Mr. Barnes questioned how the number of spaces (200)
had been determined for the parking garage.

Mr. Satyendra Huja, Director of Community
Development, stated that the spaces were determined by the
normal requirements of the size of the proposed
development for Phase 1 and 2 of Vinegar Hill South. Mr.
Huja added that the garage would not alleviate the
existing parking problem in the downtown area.
