<br />The Council met in regular session on this date with the following members
<br />present: Mr. Gleason, Dr. Maden, 11r. Huff, and Mr. Jessup.
<br />Minutes of the Meeting of June 5, 1939, were read and approved.
<br />Refund of Reverend J. S. 'Meredith addressed the Council and requested a refund of X5.02 for
<br />Tax Penalty
<br />Refused penalty on 1937-38 taxes. On motion this request was refused.
<br />A committee composed of Rev. Robert F. Gibson, .sir. Sol Mrs. Dee Yore,
<br />Mr. E. A. Joachim, and Judge A. D. Dabney, addressed the Council in regard to an
<br />additional appropriation for the 17elfare Department. On motion by Dr. Haden, seconded
