129 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE <br /> <br />To extend the Corporate Limits if the City of Charlottesville in pursuance of the <br /> <br />provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of Virginia approved March 10, 1904, <br /> <br />entitled "An Act to provide for the Extension of the Corporate Limits of Cities and <br /> <br />Towns", as amended by two several Acts approved respectively on the 14th of March, <br /> <br />1906 and February 9th, 1912, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of Charlottesville: <br /> <br />1. That the City of Charlottesville deems it desirable and hereby declares that it <br /> <br />desires to annex in the manner prescribed by law, certain territory of the County of <br /> <br />Albemarle, Virginia, adjacent to the Present Corporate Limits df the City of Char- <br /> <br />lottesville. <br /> <br />2. The territory of the County of Albemarle, Virginia, proposed to be acquired by <br /> <br />this ordinance may be accurately described by the following metes and bounds: - <br /> <br />BEGINNING at cement plug on Fifeville, a corner to present Corporation Line, <br /> <br />said plug being in line with the North curb of King Street: thence with. present <br /> <br />Corporation Line N. 12-1/4 E. 84 ft. to stake; thence new lines N. 28-1 2 W. 359-1/4 <br /> <br />ft. to an iron pipe in center main line of Southern Railroad; thence along center of <br /> <br />said track 4235-1 2 ft, to point under rry's Spring road bridge; thence along said <br /> <br />road N. 2 E. 248*1I2 ft. to iron pipe a in forks of roads; thence along the road in <br /> <br />front of the Troy property N. 16-3/4W.315 ft, , N. 43-1/4 W.384 ft., N.1-1/2 W. <br /> <br />312-1/4 ft., N. 29-17 We 162-1/3 ft,, to center Lynchburg Road, and alcng same N. <br /> <br />83-3/4 E. 197-1/2 ft. 75-3/4 E. 271-112 ft., N. 83-3/4 E. 193-1/2 ft., N. 64-1/2 E. <br /> <br />277 ft,, N. 51-1/2 E. 351 ft., N. 59-1/4 E. 375 ft., and N. 49-1/2 e. 536 ft. center <br /> <br />road opposite iron pipe: thence leaving road through. Huntington's line; thence, through his property, same course <br /> <br />continued in all from Lynchburg Road 3557*2/3 ft. to iron pipe north side of drain <br /> <br />in Ivy Road near Massie's gate; thence through Massie's and University Place, N. <br /> <br />63-17 E., crossing C & 0 railroad at 595-1/4 ft. in all 2138-3/4 ft. to iron pipe <br /> <br />in Mrs, Bruce linel thence, through lot, as well as the lets of R. H. Dabney <br /> <br />and Mrs, Rosser' S. 87-3/4 Be 1233 ft. to a point which is 200 ft. from and at right <br /> <br />angle from Rugby Road, thence a line parallel to but 200 ft, north of Rugby Road, N. <br /> <br />64-1/2 E. 1071 ft. to point 200 ft. west of the Barracks Road: thence parallel to said <br /> <br />Barracks Road N. 1/2 W. 232-1/2 ft.: thence crossingBarracks Road at 200 ft, a line <br /> <br />parallel to and 200 ft, north of Rugby Road 6953-1/2 ft. to center of Park Street.: <br /> <br />thence, tl-rought the lands of J.
