CONGESTED FIRE LIMITS. <br /> <br />Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br /> <br />that the following congested fire limits are hereby established and embrace all <br /> <br />tbrritory included within the following boundries: Beginning at a point on Ninth <br /> <br />Street, N.E.150 Feet North of high Street thence by a line 150 feet North of <br /> <br />and parallel to High Street, Westerly to a point 150 feet west of Second Street N. W. <br /> <br />Thence in the Southerly direction parallel to Second Street, N. W. to a point <br /> <br />150 feet north of Main Street, thence in a westerly course 150 feet north of and <br /> <br />parallel to Main Street to the West side of Fourteenth Street, thence south along <br /> <br />the West side of Fourteenth Street to a point where the C. & 0. Railroad crosses <br /> <br />Main Street, thence along the north side of said Railroad in a westerly direction <br /> <br />to where Madison Lane, if extended would cross said railroad; thence along Madison <br /> <br />Lane in a southerly direction to ivy Road, thence along Ivy Road in a easterly <br /> <br />direction to the C. & 0. Railroad thence along said railroad to Ridge Street; <br /> <br />thence leaving said railroad along Garrett Street to Fifth Street S. E. thence <br /> <br />along Fifth Street S. E. to a point 100 feet south of said railroad, thence <br /> <br />parallel with said railroad and 100 feet south thereof to Monticello Road, thence <br /> <br />along Monticello road and seventh Street in a northerly direction to Market Street <br /> <br />thence along :Market Street in an easterly direction to ninth Street N. E. thence <br /> <br />along Ninth Street N. E. to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />This Ordinance extends the territory formerly embraced within <br /> <br />what was known as CONGESTED FIRE LIMITS. The existing rules, regulations and <br /> <br />restrictions as to the construction of buildings within said limits now known as <br /> <br />congested fire limits shall apply. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council March 19th, 1923 <br />Ayes; Brown, Joachim, noes none. <br /> <br />Clerk Signature <br />President Signature <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE , <br /> <br />that the following amendment be added to the Milk Ordinance. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT NO. I: the provisions of this ordinance do not <br /> <br />apply to milk or milk products sold to plants where milk products are manufactured <br /> <br />so long as the State Laws governing same are complied with. <br /> <br />Adopted Council IMarch 19th, 1923. <br /> <br />Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br /> <br />section 452 of the City Code of 1909, Entitled, "Meter rates," be amended and re- <br /> <br />enacted so as to read as follows: <br /> <br />MeterThat all consumers whose water supply is metered shall pay the <br /> <br />Rates following rates: <br /> <br />from Zero to 1000 cu. ft. 42.62* per 1000 cu. ft. <br />Minimum charge per month $1.00 <br />Next 1000 cu. ft. to 2000 cu. ft. 2.25 per 1000 cu. ft. <br />Next 1000 cu. ft. to 3000 cu. ft. 150 per 1000 cu. ft. <br />Next 1000 cu. ft. to 4000 cu. ft. 1.121/2 per 1000 tuft. <br />Next 3000 cu. ft. to 7000 cu. ft. 0.90 per 1000 cu. ft. <br />All over 7000 cu. ft. $0.60 per 1000 cu. ft. <br />All factories using more than 10,000 cu ft, and less than 20,000 <br />cu. ft. per month, $0.971/2 per 1000 cu. ft. <br />Next 20,000 cu, ft. to 40,000 cu. ft. $0.821 per 1000 cu. ft. <br />Next 20,000 cu, ft. to 60,000 cu-. ft. 0.60 per 1000 cu. ft. <br />All over 60,000 cu. ft. $0.60 per 1000 cu. ft. <br />Consumers outside the City Limits, 50 per centum additional. If any <br /> <br />water meter shall fail to register, the charge shall be estimated from the readings <br /> <br />for the three preceding months. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council April 16, 1923. <br /> <br />Ayes, Morris, Brown and Joachim.
