SEC. 24. BUILDING PERMITS NOW IN FORCE. <br /> <br />Nothing herein contained shall require any change in the plans, construction, size or <br /> <br />designated use of any building, structure, or part thereof for which a building Permit has <br /> <br />been. granted or for which plans were on file with the Building Inspector before this Ordinace <br /> <br />becomes effective and the construction of which from such plans shall have been started within <br /> <br />90 days after this Ordinance becomes effective; except that if the building operation in <br /> <br />question is discontinued for a period of not less than six months, any further construction <br /> <br />shall be in conformity with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />This is intended to include the <br /> <br />addition of extra stories to a building where provision was made therefor in the existing <br /> <br />foundations, columns, and walla. <br /> <br />SEC. 25. DATE EFFECTIVE. <br /> <br />The date of effect of this Ordinance shall be from and after its passage. <br /> <br />All conflicting ordinances or parts thereof which are inconsistent with the provisions <br /> <br />of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council June 17, 1929. <br /> <br />Ayes, Messrs.
