AN ORDINANCE RE -AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 336 OF THE CITY CODE

<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 336 of the City Code of
<br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date of its passage and all ordinances
<br />in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 319 OF THE CITY CODE OF 1932.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that Section 319 of the
<br />City Code of 1932, be, and the same is, hereby amended and re-enacted to road as follows:
<br />SEC. 319. FILLING STATION - PERMIT TO OPERATE.
<br />No person, firm, or corporation shall operate a gasoline or oil filling station for public
<br />service without a special permit from the Council, which permit shall be revoked and become void
<br />unless the same is used by the person to mhom the same is granted within 90 (ninety) days from
<br />the date such permit is issued. No permit shall be granted until the applicant has posted a
<br />sign, furnished by the City, on the premises in question. The applicant shall also submit to
<br />the City Manager ground plans showing the proposed station and driveways at the same time notice
<br />is post*d.
<br />Any violation of this Section shall be punished by a fine of not less than $10.00 nor more
<br />than $25.00, and every day such violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
<br />All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

<br />AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING TO GRANT A MOTOR BUS TRANSPORTATION FRANCHISE ALONG AND OVER
<br />THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville teat bids for the franchise, privilege
<br />and right to use the streets of the City of Charlottesville for the operation of Motor Bus Transportation,
<br />shall be received in writing by the Council of the City of Charlottesville on the 5th day of November, at
<br />3:00 o'clock P. M. This ordinance is enacted and advertised in accordance with Section 125 of the
<br />Constitution of the State of Virginia, Section 3016 and Sections 3018 to 3022, both inclusive, of the
<br />Code of Virginia, Section 33 of the Charter of the City of Charlottesville, and Section 23 of the City
<br />Code of 1932.
<br />1932 be and the same is hereby re-amended and re-enacted as follows:
<br />SEC. 336. 'Water -Application For --Flow Made--Deposit--Connecting Charge --Temporary
<br />Connection.
<br />'Whenever any person, owning or lepsing property along the line of any
<br />nater main, shall desire the introduction of water into his premises, he
<br />shall make written application therefor to the City Collector on forms
<br />prescrik ed by him and approved by the City Manager. Such application
<br />shall/accompanied by a payment equal to the mir-imum charge for the un-
<br />expired period, and a deposit of $2.00, and shall set forth the name of
<br />the applicant, the location and description of the property into iihich
<br />the water is to be introduced, and the purpose for which the water is to
<br />be used. The City Manager shall thereupon cause to be constructed, at
<br />the expense of the City, a service pipe leading from the said water main
<br />nearest said main where tap is to be introduced,and install a water
<br />meter thereon unless the connection has been previously made. For turning
<br />water on again after it has been out off for non - payment, there shall be
<br />a charge of $1.00 payable in advance. There shall be a charge of $10.00
<br />payable in advance for all temporary connections.
<br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date of its passage and all ordinances
