Clerk Signature President Signature AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 495 (1) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE OF 1932 AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND REENACTED, ENTITLED "ZONING" "DISTRICTS". BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 495 (1) of the Code of the City of Charlottesville of 1932, as amended and reenacted by ordinance adopted by the Council of the City of Charlottesville March 29, 1939, said section being the section of the general zoning ordinance establishing and defining classes of districts be and the same is hereby amended in the following respects: CHANGE NUMBER 1. That the following described territory located within a district designated on the map adopted March 29, 1939 as an A-Residence District, be changed to and designated as B-1 business district: Beginning at a point on the western limits of the City of Charlottes- ville on the eastern margin of Cemetery Road 800 feet from the center of Ivy Road also known as U. S. Route 250, thence in a northerly direction along the City Limits 550 feet to a point 250 feet from the center of Ivy Road, thence in an easterly direction in a line parallel to the center line of Ivy Road and 250 feet distant therefrom 385 feet more or less to a point 200 feet from the eastern line of the tract of land conveyed to Jackson Park Hotel Company by deed of the devisees of Alice S. Hotchkiss dated December 8, 1939 and recorded in the Clerk's office of the Corporation Court of the City of Charlottesville in Deed Book 101, page 8, thence in a line parallel to the eastern line of the said property conveyed to Jackson Park Hotel Company as aforesaid and 200 feet therefrom in a southerly direction 540 feet, thence in a straight line in a westerly direction 455 feet, more or less to the beginning. The said territory being also particularly described by a plat spread in the Ordinance Book of the City of Charlottesville, where this ordinance is recorded and identified by reference thereto. This ordinance shall be in full force from the date of its passage, and all ordinances, or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
