(1) The immediate exclusion of that person from milk handling, (2) the immediate <br />exclusion of the milk supply concerned from distribution and use, (3) adequate . <br />m-dical and bacteriological examination of the person, of his associates, and of <br />his and their body discharges. <br />Sec. 15. .Enforcement interpretation. - This ordinance shall be enforced by <br />the health officer in accordance with the interpretations thereof contained in the <br />latest edition of the United States Public Health Service Milk Code, a certified copy <br />of which shall be on file in the Clerk of the Councils s office. <br />Sec. 16. Penalty. - Any person who shall violate any provision of this <br />ordinance shall be fined not less than $5.00 nor more than $100.00. Each and every <br />violation of -the provisions of this ordinance shall constitute a separate offense. <br />Sec. 17. Repeal and date of effect. - All ordinances and parts of ordinances <br />in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed; and this ordinance shall be in <br />full force and effect on and after September 1, 1947. <br />Sec. 18. Unconstitutionality clause. - Should any section, paragraph, sentence, <br />clause, or phrase of this ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any. <br />reason, the remainder of said ordinance shall not be affected thereby. <br />Adopted by the Council April 21, 1947 <br />Ayes: Mr. Adams, Mr. Gleason, Mr. Nash <br />and Mr. Tebell. <br />Noes: No <br />President <br />ANNUAL TAX LEVY IMPOSING TAXES ON PERSONS AND PROPERTY FOR THE PAYMENT OF <br />INTEREST ON THE CITY DEBT, FOR CREATING A SINKING FUND THEREFOR, FOR THE SUPPORT <br />OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT AND CITY SCHOOLS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that for the year <br />beginning on the first day of January, 19)+7, and ending the thirty-first day of <br />December, 19/x.7, and each year thereafter while this ordinance is in force, the <br />taxes on persons and property for local purposes shall be as follows: <br />GENERAL LEVY: <br />1. Land, Lots, and Buildings. <br />On tracts of land and lots and improvements thereon, not exempt from <br />taxation, there shall be a tax of $1.00 (one dollar) on every $100.00 assessed <br />value thereof to pay the general operating expenses of the City Government and <br />to pay the interest and sinking fund on the City debt other than schools, and <br />there shall be levied an additional tax on every $100.00 assessed value of 4`0.21 <br />(twnety-one cents) to pay the interest and sinking fund on school bonds and <br />$1.01, (one dollar and four cents) for the maintenance and operating of the <br />City schools. <br />2. Tangible Personal Property. <br />Upon all tangible personal property as defined by State Tax Law, not <br />exempt from taxation, there shall be a tax of '01.00 (one dollar) on every <br />$100.00 assessed value thereof to pay the general operating expenses of the <br />City government and to pay the interest and sinking fund on the City debt <br />other; than schools, and there shall be levied an additional tax on every <br />1100.00 assessed value thereof of $0.21 (twenty-one cents) to pay the interest <br />and sinking fund on the school bonds and $1.04 (one dollar and four cents) for <br />the maintenance and operating of the City schools. <br />3.
