AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 4
<br />ENTITLED "MINIMUM IMPROVEMENTS REQUIRED" OF
<br />APPENDIX I OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE,
<br />1959, BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 4 (A) (2).
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, THAT SECTION 4 ENTITLED "MINIMUM
<br />IMPROVEMENTS REQUIRED" OF APPENDIX I OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1959, BE AND THE
<br />SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED AND REENACTED BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 4 (A) (2) TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
<br />SECTION 4. MINIMUM IMPROVEMENTS REQUIRED.
<br />(A) ...
<br />(2) ALL STREETS SHALL BE SURFACED TO A WIDTH OF NOT LESS THAN THIRTY SIX (36) FEET, MEASURED
<br />FROM THE FACE OF THE CURB LINE AND SUCH SURFACING SHALL CONSIST OF CRUSHED STONE AND SCREENINGS
<br />HAVING A THICKNESS OF SIX (6) INCHES AFTER COMPACTION. CONCRETE SIDEWALKS WITH CURB, HAVING A
<br />MINUMUM WIDTH OF FIVE (5) FEET SHALL BE INSTALLED ALONG BOTH SIDES OF ALL STREETS.
<br />AN AREA FIVE (5) FEET IN WIDTH SHALL BE GRADED BEHIND AND LEVEL WITH ALL SIDEWALKS.

<br />CHARLOTTESVILLE FOR TWELVE MONTHS, COMMENCING THE FIRST DAY
<br />OF MAY, 1962 AND ENDING THE THIRTIETH DAY OF APRIL, 1963.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE THAT THERE SHALL BE AN ANNUAL
<br />LICENSE TAX ASSESSED AND PAID BY ALL PERSONS, FIRMS, OR CORPORATIONS ENGAGED IN THE DIFFERENT
<br />OCCUPATIONS, PROFESSIONS, OR BUSINESSES NAMED IN THIS ORDINANCE AND ENUMERATED BELOW FOR THE YEAR
<br />BEGINNING THE FIRST DAY OF MAY 1962 AND ENDING THE THIRTIETH DAY OF APRIL 1963.
