LAND, LOTS AND BUILDINGS; CERTAIN TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY AND OTHER PROPERTY. <br />ON TRACTS OF LAND, LOTS AND IMPROVEMENTS THEREON; ON ALL LIVESTOCK, AUTOMOBILES, TRAILERS, BOATS <br />UNDER FIVE TONS BURTHEN, BOAT TRAILERS, TRACTORS OR OTHER MOTOR VEHICLES AND MOBILE HOMES ON ALL TANGIBLE <br />PERSONAL PROPERTY USED OR HELD IN CONNECTION WITH ANY MINING, MANUFACTURING OR OTHER BUSINESS, TRADE, <br />OCCUPATION OR PROFESSION INCLUDING FURNISHINGS, FURNITURE AND APPLIANCES IN RENTAL UNITS; AND, ON ALL <br />PROPERTY ASSESSED FOR CHARLOTTESVILLE TAXATION BY THE STATE CORPORATION COMMISSION, WHICH IS NOT EXEMPT <br />FROM LOCAL TAXATION, THE TAX SHALL BE $0.98 ON EVERY $100.00 ASSESSED VALUE THEREOF TO PAY THE GENERAL <br />OPERATING EXPENSES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT AND TO PAY THE INTEREST AND RETIREMENT ON THE CITY DEBT OTHER <br />THAN SCHOOLS; AND, THERE SHALL BE LEVIED AN ADDITIONAL TAX ON EVERY $100.00 ASSESSED VALUE OF $0.62 TO <br />PAY THE INTEREST AND RETIREMENT ON SCHOOL BONDS, AND $2.05 FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF THE <br />CITY SCHOOLS; AND $0.10 FOR OTHER EDUCATIONAL COSTS. 40 <br />2.
