WRIGHT. <br />NOES: NON <br />PRESIDE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 25 OF ARTICLE V1Y1 I OF <br />APPENDIX 11 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1965, RELATED <br />TO ONE ADDITIONAL USE REGULATION FOR B-1 BUSINESS DISTRICT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE THAT SECTION 25 OF ARTICLE VIII OF <br />APPENDIX 11 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1965, BE AMENDED AND REENACTED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 25 . USE REGULATIONS. <br />A BUILDING OR PREMISES SHALL BE USED ONLY FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES: <br />1. <br />ANY USE PERMITTED IN THE B OFFICE -SHOP DISTRICT. <br />2. <br />BAKERIES WHEN PRODUCTS ARE SOLD AT RETAIL AND ONLY ON THE PREMISES. <br />3. <br />BUSINESSES, DANCING OR MUSIC SCHOOLS. <br />4. <br />FILLING STATIONS. <br />5. <br />RETAIL STORES WITHOUT LIMITATION AS TO FLOOR AREA. <br />6. <br />RESTAURANTS. <br />• <br />7. <br />THEATRES, BUT NOT DRIVE-IN THEATRES. <br />H. <br />LAUNDRIES AND DRY CLEANING ESTABLISHMENTS USING A NON -PETROLEUM BASE SOLVENT. <br />9. <br />BOWLING ALLEYS. <br />10. <br />REBOUND TUMBLING CENTERS. <br />11. <br />COMMERCIAL SWIMMING POOLS. <br />12. <br />COMMERCIAL SKATING RINKS. <br />13. <br />BILLIARD PARLORS, PROVIDED THAT THE AFORESAID USE IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY AT GROUND OR <br />SIDEWALK <br />LEVEL WITH SUFFICIENT WINDOWS OR CLEAR GLASS FRONTS TO AFFORD AN UNOBSTRUCTED VIEW OF <br />THE INTERIOR. <br />14. <br />SOFT DRINK BOTTLING PLANTS; P-ROVIDED, THAT ADEQUATE SPACE IS MADE AVAILABLE WITHIN THE <br />BUILDING <br />AND IS USED FOR THE LOADING ON DELIVERY VEHICLES OF ALL FINISHED PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED OR <br />PROCESSED <br />BY THE PLANT; AND PROVIDED FURTHER, THAT THE UNLOADING AND STORAGE OF RETURNED CONTAINERS <br />IS DONE <br />WITHIN THE BUILDING. <br />15. <br />SMALL SIZE PARTS ASSEMBLY IN ANY BUILDING EXISTING AS OF JANUARY 1, 1969, WHICH HAS A FLOOR <br />SPACE AREA <br />THAT DOES NOT EXCEED 20,000 SQUARE FEET; PROVIDED THAT ALL OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS <br />ARE MET: <br />A. THE FINISHED PRODUCT OF SUCH ASSEMBLY OPERATION SHALL NOT EXCEED 100 POUNDS NOR THE OVERALL <br />DIMENSIONS OF SAID PRODUCT EXCEED A VOLUME OF 4 CUBIC FEET. <br />B. NO PORTION OF SUCH OPERATION INCLUDING STORAGE SHALL BE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING WITH THE <br />EXCEPTION OF LOADING AND UNLOADING. <br />C. THE BUILDING SO USED SHALL NOT BE CLOSER THAN 200 FEET TO ANY OTHER BUILDING USED FOR <br />RESIDENTIAL PURPOSES NOR CLOSER THAN 400 FEET TO ANY RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICT. <br />D. THIS USE SHALL HAVE NO ADVERSE INFLUENCE ON SURROUNDING DEVELOPMENT BECAUSE OF SMOKE, <br />ODOR, NOISE, DUST OR FUMES. <br />E. WRIGHT. <br />NOES: NON . <br />CLERK PRE "1 ENT <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING S ION 76 OF APPEN X II OF <br />THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1965, RELATED TO THE <br />PROCEDURE FOR AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE THAT SECTION 76 OF APPENDIX 11 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1965, BE AMENDED AND REENACTED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: <br />APPENDIX II <br />SECTION 76 . PROCEDURE. <br />1. ALL PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE REFERRED TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR <br />RECOMMENDATION AND REPORT PRIOR TO ACTION THEREON BY THE CITY COUNCIL. THE PLANNING COMMISSION SHALL <br />HOLD AT LEAST ONE PUBLIC HEARING ON SUCH PROPOSED AMENDMENTS AND MAY MAKE APPROPRIATE CHANGES IN THE <br />PROPOSED AMENDMENTS AS A RESULT OF SUCH HEARING. UPON THE COMPLETION OF ITS WORK, THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION SHALL PRESENT THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE CITY COUNCIL, TOGETHER WITH ITS RECOMMENDATIONS <br />AND ANY APPROPRIATE EXPLANATORY MATERIALS DEEMED NECESSARY BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION. THE FAILURE <br />OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO REPORT WITHIN NINETY DAYS AFTER THE FIRST MEETING OF THE COMMISSION AFTER <br />
