§ 16A-66 CHARLOTTESVILLE CITY CODE § 16A-70 <br />Sec. 16A-66. Junk dealers. <br />On every license to a junk dealer the tax shall be one hun- <br />dred dollars and on every person who shall engage in the <br />business of buying junk or other matter for a junk dealer or <br />for sale to a junk dealer, the tax shall be thirty dollars. <br />Where such a dealer engages in buying and selling of wool, <br />hides or furs, he shall pay a merchants' tax in addition. (4-7- <br />69, § 43.) • <br />Sec. 16A-67. Laboratory animal preparation. <br />On businesses for the purpose of preparing cats, dogs, frogs <br />or other animals for educational or scientific purposes the li- <br />cense tax shall be fifteen dollars. (4-7-69, § 44.) <br />Sec. 16A-68. Launderettes. <br />On every person who operates a laundry in which the cus- <br />tomer pays rental for the use of washing machines at such <br />place of business a license tax of twenty-five dollars shall be <br />assessed and where the gross receipts exceed two thousand <br />dollars the tax shall be twenty-five cents on each one hundred <br />dollars in addition thereto. (4-7-69, § 48.) <br />Sec. 16A-69. Laundries—Generally. <br />(a) On every person, firm or corporation engaged in the <br />operation of a laundry other than by hand the license tax shall <br />be twenty-five dollars, and where the gross receipts exceed <br />two thousand dollars the tax shall be twenty-five cents on each <br />one hundred dollars in addition thereto. <br />(b) On every person, firm or corporation operating a hand <br />laundry the tax shall be twenty dollars. But nothing in this <br />section shall be construed to impose a license tax upon persons <br />who wash bed clothing, wearing apparel, etc., without laundry • <br />machinery and who do not keep shops or other regular places <br />of business for laundry purposes. (4-7-69, § 45.) <br />Sec. 16A-70.
