ON MOTION, DULY <br />MADE AND SECONDED, THE FOREGOING CLAIM WAS ORDERED PAID. <br />MR. I'JALTER L. SMITH, OF THE LOCAL POST OF A%NETS, ADDRESSED THE <br />COUNCIL AND STATED THAT HIS ORGANIZATION PLANNED THE PROMOTION OF THE <br />ALBEMARLE COUNTY FAIR AGAIN THIS YEAR DURING THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 10TH. <br />HE EXPLAINED THAT A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION MOULD PROVIDE AMUSEMENT <br />SHOWS INCIDENTAL TO THE FAIR AND REQUESTED THAT THE CITY WAIVE A PORTION <br />OF THE LICENSE TAX PLACED ON THIS TYPE AMUSEMENT.
