Absent: Mr. Lynch. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Toscano, seconded by Mr. Cox, Council voted (Ayes: Mr. <br />Caravati, Mr. Cox, Mr. Toscano. Absent for the vote: Ms. Richards. Absent: Mr. <br />Lynch) to meet in closed session for discussion and consideration of prospective <br />candidates for appointment to City boards and commissions, as authorized by Section <br />2.2-371 I(A) of the Virginia Code; for consultation with legal counsel to discuss strategy <br />pert~ing to actual litigation, as authorized by Section 2.2-371 l(A)(7) of the Virginia <br />Code; and for discussion or consideration of whether the City should dispose of publicly <br />held real property in the Mclntire Road area for development, and the sales price for such <br />property, where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining <br />position or negotiating strategy of the City, as authorized by Section 2.2-3711(A)(3) of <br />the Virginia Code. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Cox, seconded by Mr. Toscano, Council certified (Ayes: Mr. <br />Caravati, Mr. Cox, Ms. Richards, Mr. Toscano. Noes: None. Absent: Mr.~Lynch) that, <br />to the best of each Council Member's knowledge, only public business matters lawfully <br />exempted t~om the open meeting requirements of the Virginia Freedom of Information <br />Act and identified in the motion convening the closed session were heard, discussed or <br />considered in the closed session. <br /> <br /> <br />
