CONOVER ASKED THAT THE MINUTES OF OCTOBER 19TH REFLECT H2S <br /> COMMENTS DURING THE DISCUSSION OF DOWNTOWN SIGNING AS FOLLOWS: 1) <br /> INDICATION OF POSSIBLE CONGESTION AT THE CORNER OF RIDGE AND MAIN <br /> STREETS AND 2) MR. CONVOER~S SUGGESTION THAT OCNSIDERATION BE GIVEN <br /> TO A SIGN THAT WOULD POINT TO THE WEST END OF TOWN, PARTICULARLY <br /> THE UNIVERSITY. <br /> <br /> WITH THOSE MODIFICATIONS, ON MOTION BY MR. ALBRO, SECONDED BY <br /> <br /> DR. HALL, THE, MiNUTES OF'0CTOBER 19TH WERE UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED. <br /> <br /> ON MOTION BY MR. CONOVER, SECONDED BY MR. ALBRO, THE MINUTES OF <br /> <br /> OCTOBER 16TH WERE UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED. <br /> <br />WILLIAM $. JOHNSON OF 217 OLD LYNCHBURG ROAD EXPRESSED HIS <br />DISAPPOINTMENT THAT THE DEBATE IN THE PROPOSED MIXED WARD/ATLARGE <br /> <br />PLAN WITH MAYOR BUCK DID NOT TAKE PLACE. MR. JOHNSON INDICATED HErD <br /> <br />MADE EFFORTS TD SECURE A REPUTABLE ORGANIZATION TD SPONSOR THE DEBATE, <br /> <br />BUT BECAUSE DF THE TIME LIMITATIONS HE WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL. MR. JOHN- <br /> <br />SON CONTINUED TD EXPRESS HIS INTENSE POSITIVE FEELINGS FOR ESTABLISHING <br /> <br />A NEW COUNCIL STRUCTURE. <br /> <br /> JAMES R. PETERSDN, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR DF REGION TEN COMMUNITY <br /> <br />SERVICES BOARD, PRESENTED A REPORT TD COUNCIL WITH RESPECT TO <br /> <br />ANTICIPATING CHANGES IN FUNDING PATTERNS AND FUNDING NEEDS. MR. <br />PETERSON HIGHLIGHTED THE MAJOR ASPECTS OF REGION TEN'S LONG RANGE <br /> <br />PLAN OF SERVICE. MR. PETERSON ASKED FOR COUNCIL'S GUIDANCE AND <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING ANY ASPECTS OF THE PLAN OF PARTICULAR IN- <br />%EREST OR CONCERN. <br /> <br /> <br />
