Ayes: Mr. Buck, Mrs. Glea.son, Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Absent: Dr. Hall. <br /> <br /> Council interviewed applicants for positions on the Planning Commission <br />and discussed pending appointments on other Council-appointed Boards and <br /> <br />Commissions. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER <br /> <br />Tuesday, September 7, 1982 <br /> <br /> Council met in regular session on this date with the following members <br /> present: Mr. Buck, Mr. Conover, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter. Absent: Dr. Hall. <br /> <br /> Approval of the minutes of August 16th was postponed until the next <br /> meeting so that changes could be made. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Dr. Gunter, the minutes of <br /> <br />August 23rd and September 1st were approved as presented. <br /> There were no matters by the public at this time. <br /> <br /> On nomination by Mrs. Gleason, Mr. Robert Moje was appointed to the <br />Architectural Review Board. <br /> <br /> On nomination by Mr. Conover, Mr. Ervin Jordan, Mrs. Florence Bryant <br /> <br />and Dr. Charles Gleason were appointed to the Community Attention Home <br />Advisory Board. <br /> <br /> On nomination by Dr. Gunter, Mr. David Young and Mr. Hosea LeVon <br />Mitchell were appointed and Mr. William Lucy, Mrs. Mary Reese and Ms. <br />Louella Gohaner were reappointed to the Social Development Commission. <br /> <br /> On nomination by Mrs. Gleason, Mrs. Alice Hedley was appointed to <br /> <br />· he Social Services Advisory Board. <br /> <br /> Francis Fife of Cherry Avenue and a representative of the Employment <br />Research Commission presented a report to Council on a proposed Employment <br />Promotion Commission.
