<br />AMENDING SECTION
<br />30.8-1 RELATING
<br />TO MEMBERS OF
<br />THE SOCIAL
<br />SERVICES ADVISORY
<br />BOARD

<br />approved by the Council; and
<br /> WHEREAS, Section 5 of the Ordinance sets forth certain standards
<br />to be considered by the Authority and the Council in determining the
<br />nature and location of facilities to be financed by the Authority; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the Authority on November 9, 1982 adopted an inducement
<br />resolution agreeing to assist Mr. Leonard Milgraum in the finaacing of
<br />the acquisition, construction, renovation and equipping of the Paramount
<br />Theater and commercial and retail office space at Central Place.on the
<br />Downtown Mal. 1 in the City of CHarlottesville, Virginia (the "Project"),
<br />by the issuance of the Authority's industrial development revenue bonds
<br />in an amount estimated not to exceed $2,240,000; and
<br /> WHEREAS, preliminary plans for the Project and the financing have
<br /> been described to the Council in a presentation by Mr. Leonard Milgraum;
<br /> and
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA
<br /> 1. It is hereby found and determined that the acquisition, con-
<br /> struction, renovation and equipping of the Project will be in the public
<br /> interest and will promote the safety, health, welfare, convenience or
<br /> prosperity of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, and its citizens.
<br /> 2. The Council hereby approves the location and financing of the
<br /> Project.
<br /> 3. It is hereby found and determined that the Project meets the
<br /> criteria set forth in Section 5 of the Ordinance.
<br /> 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
<br /> The ordinance entitled-"AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTIONS
<br /> 31-13, 31-14, 31-27, 31-145, 31-154, 31-203 AND 31-205 AND TO REPEAL
<br /> SECTION 31-204, AS SEVERALLY AMENDED OF TttE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTES-
<br /> VILLE, 1976, RELATING TO USES PERMITTED BY RIGHT OR BY SPECIAL PERMIT IN
<br /> R-1 AND R-3 ZONING DISTRICTS; OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS; CERTIFICATES
<br /> OF APPROPRIATENESS ISSUED BY THE BOARD OF ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW; SITE PLAN
<br /> STANDARDS FOR CERTAIN DRIVE-IN FACILITIES, AND TREE PLANTING STANDARDS
<br /> FOR PARKING LOTS; ALL UNDER THE CITY ZONING ORDINANCE" which was offered
<br /> at the meeting of November 1st was adopted by the following vote, as
<br /> amended. Ayes: Mr. Buck, Mr. Conover, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall.
<br /> Noes: None.
<br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND DIS-
<br /> CONTINUING A CERTAIN 12 FOOT ALLEY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF DRUID AVENUE"
<br /> which was offered at the meeting of November 1st was adopted by the
<br /> following vote. Ayes: Mr. Buck, Mr. Conover, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter,
<br /> Dr. Hall. Noes: None.
<br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 11 OF THE CODE
<br /> OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, BY ADDING TO ARTICLE III THEREOF A
<br /> SECTION NUMBERED 11-7.1 RELATING TO THE FIRE PREVENTION CODE BOARD OF
<br /> APPEALS" which was offered at the meeting of November 1st was adopted by
<br /> the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Buck, Mr. Conover, Mrs. Gleason, Dr.
<br /> Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: None.
<br /> On motion by Mr. Conover, seconded by Dr. Hall, an ordinance entitled
<br /> "AN:ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTION 23-7 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY
<br /> OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976 RELATING TO UNLAWFUL CONDITIONS OF WEEDS,
<br /> SHRUBBERY, FREES AND OTHER VEGEATION" was offered and carried over to the
<br /> next meeting for consideration.
<br /> On motion by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Dr. Hall, an ordinance
<br /> entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTION 30~:3.1 OF THE CODE
<br /> OF THE CITY ~OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976 RELATING TO MEMBERS OF THE SOCIAL
<br /> SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD" was offered and carried over to the next meeting
<br />
