Absent: None. <br /> <br /> APproval of minutes was deferred until the next meeting. <br /> <br /> There were no matters by the public at this time. <br />There were no appointments to boards and commissions at this time. <br />Gene German, Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, <br />made a presentation to Council outlining the programs and facilities <br />provided and maintained by that department. <br /> <br /> The appropriation of $1,000.00 for a Litter Control Grant which <br /> <br />was offered at the meeting of January 18th was adopted by the following <br /> <br />vote. Ayes: Mr. Buck, Mr. Conover, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. <br /> <br /> Noes: None. <br /> <br /> The appropriation of $5,000.00 for a Utilities Program which was <br /> offered at the meeting of January 18th was adopted by the following vote. <br /> Mr. Buck, Mr. Conover, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br />None. <br /> <br /> The appropriation of $27,345.00 which was offered at the meeting of <br />January 18th was adopted by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Buck, Mr. <br /> <br />Conover, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes' None. <br />The appropriation of $16,000.00 for a Transit Technical Studies <br />Grant which was offered at the meeting of January 31st was adopted by <br /> <br />the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Buck, Mr. Conover, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. <br /> <br />Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> The appropriation of $14,678 for a Transit Planning and Programming <br />Grant which was offered at the meeting of January 31st was adopted by <br /> <br />the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Buck, Mr. Conover, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. <br /> <br />Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: None. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Conover, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, the following <br />appropriation was offered and carried over to the next meeting for con- <br /> <br />sideration: <br /> <br />A. CREATION OF FUND: PURPOSES <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia, that there is hereby created in the accounts of the City a <br />separate and distinct fund to be known as the School Construction Fund. <br />The purpose of this fund shall be to account for revenues and expenditures <br />related to four previously approved capital improvements at Charlottesville <br />High School: an auditorium, an auxiliary gymnasium, outdoor athletic <br />facilities and roof repairs. The following actions are hereby taken with <br />regard to the fund. <br /> <br />B. DESIGNATION OF REVENUES <br /> <br /> The following are designated as revenues to be received by the <br />School Construction Fund: <br /> <br />$3,000,000.00 received in the Capital Projects Fund for <br />the sale of a like amount of bond anticipation notes <br />issued April 17, 1982. This sum was previously appro- <br />priated to expenditure account 05-01130 in the Capital <br />Projects Fund by resolution adopted March 1, 1982. The <br />Director of Finance is authorized to transfer this sum <br /> <br /> <br />
