AN ORDIANCE REPEALING SECTION II IF THE MILK ORDIANCE ENTILTED 'FEE REQUIRED'. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDANIED BY the council of the City of Charlottesville that section II OF <br /> <br />the Mike Ordiance entilted "Fee Required" be repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council Council January, 1923. <br />Ayes: Brown & Joachim; Noes None. <br /> <br />Clerk Signature. <br />President Signature. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />DAILY RECORD TO BE KEPT BY DEALERS IN SECOND-HAND ARTICLES AND LIST RO BE FURNISHED <br /> <br />DAILY TO THE CHIEF OF POLICE. <br /> <br />BE it ordained by the Council of the City of Charlottesville; that; <br /> <br />1. All pawn brokers, junk dealers, dealers in second hand clothing <br /> <br />in second hand automobiles shall keep daily records of every article <br /> <br />taken in pawn or bought by said dealers; said records to contain a full descrip- <br /> <br />tion of such articles, and to show all distinguishing marks, numbers, brands, <br /> <br />letters or monograms of any kind on such articles, together ivi th the names and <br /> <br />ance. addresses of the parties from whom such articles were received. <br /> <br />2. All pawn brokers, junk dealers, deakers in second hand clothing <br /> <br />and dealers in second hand automobiles shall furnish daily to the chief of police <br /> <br />upon blanks to be prescribed by the said chief, full and complete lists of all articles <br /> <br />taken in pawn or bought by said dealers within the twenty-four hours next preceding the <br /> <br />date of such report said lists to contain a full description of all such articles <br /> <br />together with all marks, numbers, brands, letters or monograms on such articles, and <br /> <br />the names and addresses of the parties from whom such articles were received. <br /> <br />3. Any such broker, junk dealer, dealer in second hand clothing or <br /> <br />dealer in second 'nand automobiles who shall fail to comply with any of the provisions <br /> <br />of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than five dollars nor more <br /> <br />than twenty five dollars, for each offence. <br /> <br />A conviction of any such pawn broker, junk; dealer, defiler in second <br /> <br />hand clothing or dealer in second hand automobiles of a violation of this ordinance <br /> <br />may, in the discretion of the Civil and Police Justice, work an immediate revocation <br /> <br />of the license of such offender. <br /> <br />This ordinance is to be effective from April, 1st, 1923. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council February 19, 1923. <br />Ayes: Brown and Joachim; noes none. <br /> <br />Clerk Signature. <br />President Signature. <br /> <br />AN ORDIANCE AMENDING AND RE-ANCTING SECTION 103 OF THE CITY CODE OF 1909 ENTILTED <br /> <br />"TREASURER'S COMPENSATION." <br /> <br />The City Treasurer for his services in collecting and disbursing the City <br /> <br />revenues and keeping the accounts and making the reports required bf him shall receive <br /> <br />two percent (2%) on all money collected by him from City taxes and licenses and from <br /> <br />the users of water gas and gas biproducts.
