E. <br /> <br />An application for a Special Permit to construct a sewer pumping <br />facility on the property owned by the Rivanna River Water and <br />Sewer Authority off of Riverside Avenue. <br /> <br />An application for a Special Permit to construct a sewer pumping <br />facility for the City of Charlottesville within the Caroline <br />Avenue right-of-way, south of Fairway Avenue. <br /> <br />1. O'Brien (signed) <br /> President <br /> <br />Special Permit: Rivanna <br />Water and Sewer <br />Authority <br /> <br />Resolution re: <br />Special Permit <br /> <br /> The Council met in special session on this date with the following <br />members present: Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, and Mrs. O'Brien. Absent: <br />Mr. Barbour and Mr. Gatewood <br /> <br /> A joint public hearing with the Planning Commission was held on <br />this date on an application for a special permit to construct a sewer <br />pumping facility on the property owned by the Rivanna Water and Sewer <br />Authorityoff of Riverside Avenue. Mr. Huja reviewed the background <br />report noting that this special permit would allow tme construction of <br />a new sewer pumping facility adjacent to the existing facility on <br />Riverside Drive. He stated that the staff had reviewed the permit and <br />found no adverse impacts and therefore would recommend its approval. <br />Mr. George Williams, Executive Director of the Rivanna Water and <br />Sewer Authority, explained that this facility was part of the four <br />party contract under which the authority was created. The facility' <br />would be part of the overall plans for the development of the waste <br />water treatment plant for the region. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Brunton, seconded by Mr. Fife the following <br />resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville; <br />that there is hereby granted a special use permit for the <br />installation and operation of a sewer pumping station on property <br />located in an R-2 Residential District, presently owned by the <br />Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority, situated on the east side of <br />Riverside Avenue and designated as Parcel 151 on City Real Property <br />Tax Map Sheet 55B. Such permit is conditioned upon the development <br />of such facility in accordance with an approved site plan and <br /> <br /> <br />
