O'Brien <br /> <br />TAKE NOTICE <br /> <br /> A special meeting of the Council will be held Tonight the 28th <br />inst. at 8:00 P.M. O'Brien (signed) <br /> Pires~dent <br /> <br />Appropriation re: <br />$116,723 for additional <br />2% salary increase <br /> <br />Resolution: Post <br />Retirement Supplements <br /> <br />Resolution re: Pay <br />Plan <br /> <br />Resolution re: Loan <br />Guarantee - Scattered <br />Housing Sites <br /> <br />The Council met in special session on this date~with the following <br /> <br />members presenn: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood <br /> <br />and Mrs. O'Brien. Absent: None. <br /> <br />The resolution appropriating $116,723 for an additional 2% pay <br /> <br />increase for City employees, which was offered at the meeting of the <br /> <br />Council on July 18, 1977, was adopted by the following recorded vote. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. <br /> <br />O'Brien. Noes: None. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Barbour, seconded by Mr. Brunton the following <br /> <br />resolution was unanimously adopted.. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an additional 2% <br />average salary increase, exclusive of merit increases, for current <br />City employees; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Charlottesville, pursuant to 20-33(b) of the Code of the City of <br />Charlottesville, 1976, that the Retirement Fund Commission is authorized <br />and directed to provide for the payment of an additional post <br />retirement supplement of 2% current retirement pay of each presently <br />retired City employee effective for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1977. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Gatewood the following <br /> <br />resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville <br />that a revised document reflecting an additional increase of 2% in <br />all salary ranges, comprising the Employee Classification and Pay <br />Plan for the City of Charlottesville, assigning salary ranges to <br />each class or position in the city service is hereby approved, pursuant <br />to ~§20-27 and 20-28 of the City Code, to be ~ffective retroactively <br />to July 1, 1977. A copy of such document shall be kept on file with the <br />records of this meeting. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Barbour, seconded by Mr. Brunton the following <br /> <br />resolution was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. <br /> <br />Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Mr. Fife abstained <br /> <br />due to possible conflict of interest, since the bank for which he works <br /> <br />is involved in this transaction. <br /> <br /> <br />
