<br /> THE COUNCIL MET IN SPECIAL SESSI ON THIS DATE WITH THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS PRESENT:

<br />MR. DAVIS, MR. RINEHART, MR. VAN YAHRES, MR. VOGT AND MR. WRIGHT. ABSENT: NONE.

<br /> THE CLERK REPORTED THAT A SYNOPSIS OF THE CITY AND SCHOOL BUDGETS FOR THE FISCAL

<br />YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 1970 HAD BEEN PUBL'ISHED AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO SE
<br />
<br />HELD ON THIS DATE HAD BEEN GIVEN AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 19 Of THE CITY CHARTER. AN
<br /> OPPORTUNITY WAS THEN AFFORDED ANYONE TO SPEAK FOR OR AGAINST THE SCHOOL BUDGET. A
<br /> REPRESENTATIVE FROM EACH City SCHOOL REPRESENTING THE TEACHERS ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL
<br /> AND REQUESTED THAT CONSIDERATION BE GIVEN TO A LARGER INCREASE IN TEACHERSt SALARIES.
<br /> A MOTION BY MR. RINEHART, SECONDED BY MR. WRIGHT THAT THE SCHOOL BUDGET BE ADOPTED AS
<br /> PRESENTED WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED.
<br />
<br /> THE MAYOR THEN ANNOUNCED THAT THE CItY BUDGET WOULD BE CONSIDERED. NO ONE SPOKE
<br />FOR Or AGAINST THE BUDGET. A MOTION BY MR. WRIGHT, SECONDED BY MR. DAVIS THAT THE CITY
<br />BUDGET BE ADOPTED AS PRESENTED, AND THAT THE CLERK BE INSTRUCTED TO ENTER A SYNOPSIS IN
<br />THE MINUTES AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 19 OF THE CiTY CHARTER, WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED:
