PONTON~ SECONDED BY MR. MOUNT, THE CITY MANAGER WAS AUTHORIZED <br />TO EXECUTE CONTRACT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA HOSPITAL FOR THE CARE OF INDIGENT <br />PATIENTS AT THE RATE OF ~2@.71 PER DAY~ EFFECTIVE JULY ~) ~964. <br /> <br /> THE CITY MANAGER REPORTED THAT THE PROPERTY OWNERS ON OLD FARM ROAD~ BETWEEN <br />WESTVIEW ROAD AND WINSTON ROAD) HAD REQUESTED THE CITY TO CONSTRUCT THIS STREET TO <br />CITY STANDARDS AND ACCEPT SAME INTO THE CITY STREET SYSTEM, AND HAVE DEPOSITED WITH <br />THE CiTY THE COST OF CONSTRUCTING A SIDEWALK ON ONE SIDE AND CURB AND GUTTER ON THE <br />OTHER WITH A TWENTY-FOUR FOOT PAVED SURFACE. ON MOTION BY MR. SCRIBNER, SECONDED <br />BY MR, LEE, IT WAS UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE AND HE IS HEREBY <br />AUTHORIZED TO CONSTRUCT THIS STREET AND ACCEPT SAME INTO THE CITY STREET SYSTEM <br />FOR MAINTENANCE WHEN COMPLETED. <br /> <br /> THE RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING ~4,464.74 FOR THE CITY'S SHARE OF THE COST OF <br />UTILITIES IN HILLWOOD PLACE, WHICH WAS OFFERED AT THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL ON <br />AUGUST 5~ 1964~ WAS ADOPTED BY THE FOLLOWING RECORDED VOTE: AYES: MR. HAGGERTY, <br />MR. LEE, MR. MOUNT~ MR. PONTON AND MR. SCRIBNER. NOES: NONE. <br /> <br /> MR. LEE STATED THAT NE WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE NUMBER OF FALSE CALLS THE <br /> <br />RESCUE SQUAD WERE RECEIVING AND REQUESTED THAT THE CITY ATTORNEY INVESTIGATE THE <br />MATTER AND IF LEGAL PREPARE AN ORDINANCE MAKING SUCH CALLS ILLEGAL AND SETTING <br />THE PENALTY CONSISTENT WITH THE PENALTY FOR FALSE FlEE ALARMS. <br /> <br /> THE WELFARE REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF JULY~ 1964 WAS PRESENTED AND ORDERED FILED <br /> <br />WITH THE MINUTES OF THIS MEETING. <br /> ON MOTION THE MEETING ADJOURNED. <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER - AUGUST 20, 1964 <br /> <br />PURSUANT TO THE FOLLOWING CALL: <br /> <br />MR.
