ELLIS AND <br />SCHOOL BUDGET MR. STANLEY GOODMAN PRESENTED THE SCHOOL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1955-1956. <br />PRESENTED <br />AFTER A FULL DISCUSSION, A MOTION BV r'IR. HILL, SECONDED BY MR. MICHIE THAT THE <br />A MOTION BY NR. HILL, SECONDED BY MR. DAVIS THAT A COMMITTEE BE APPOINTED <br />FROM THE COUNCIL AND SCHOOL BOARD TO STUDY THE POSSIBILITY OF MORE CLOSELY <br />COMMITTEE APPOINTED <br />TO STUDY MATTER RE: CO-ORDINATING THE PERSONNEL OF THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT AND THE SCHOOLS IN <br />RECREATION DEPT. AND <br />SCHOOLS - CO-ORDINATiNG THE RECREATION PROGRAM OF THE CITY WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. THE MAYOR APPOINTED <br />PERSONNEL <br />MR. HILL AND I"IR. M• IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBER BE <br />APRIL 18, 1955 <br />SCHOOL BUDGET BE ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br />7:30 P. M. DAVIS, MR. FORGES, MR. HILL, MR. MICHIE AND I'~R. WEiNBERG. <br />ABSENT: NONE. <br />THE MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS OF MARCH 7, 1955, MARCH 14, 1955 AND <br />MARCH 15, 1955 WERE READ AND APPROVED. <br />MR. C. E. MORAN, CLERK OF THE CORPORATION COURT, ADDRESSEp THE COUNCIL <br />UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED: <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE <br />AND SUBMITTED A PROPOSED REORGANIZATION PLAN FOR THE CLERKS OFFICE. MR. <br />MORAN AL50 STATED THAT MORE OFFICE SPACE AND SHELF SPACE WAS DESPERATELY <br />MATTER RE: CLERK OF NEEDED, AND REQUESTED AN APPROPRIATION OF $1,500.00 TO SECURE. MORE SHELF SPACE. <br />THE CORPORATION COURT <br />ON MOTION BY MR. HILL, SECONDED BY MR. MICHIE, THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION WAS <br />APPROPRIATION: THAT $1,SOC.OO BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED IN ACCORDANCE <br />SHELF SPACE IN CLERKS OFFICE <br />WITH THE FOREGOING REQUEST, AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE <br />CITY MANAGER BE ANp HE IS HEREBY INSTRUCTED TO SECURE BIDS ON THE <br />PROPOSED FILES AND TO INVESTIGATE THE POSSIBILITY OF RENTING MORE <br />OFFICE SPACE IN THE COUNTY BUILDING. <br />ON MOTION DULY MADE AND SECONDED, THE PROPOSED REORGANIZATION PLAN WAS <br />COMMITTEE APPOINTED TO REFERRED TO A COMMITTEE COMPOSED OF MR. MICHIE, MR. HILL AND MR. BOWEN FOR <br />STUDY REORGANIZATION PLAN <br />STUDY AND RECOMMENDATIGN. <br />MR. MILTON GRIGG ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND PRESENTED A PROPOSAL OF THE <br />PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO BLDG. <br />
