<br />ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS, IN THE AMOUNT OF "6,853.33, AND THE BID OF P~IOORE
<br />BROS., VERONA, VIRGINIA, GRADING AND PAVING CONTRACTORS, IPJ THE AMOUNT OF
<br />~`~ATTER RE: BIDS ~;95,195,1C, AS THE LOWEST AND BEST BIOS RECEIVED, AND THEREUPON RECOMMENDED
<br />FOR AIRPORT IMPF:UVEMENTS
<br />MIDWAY ELEC. CO. AND THAT SUCH BIDS BE APPROVED AND THAT CONTRACTS BE AWARDED TO THOSE FIRMS ON
<br />MOORE BROS.
<br />THE BASIS OF SUCH BIDS, SUBJECT TO CIVIL AERONAUTICS ADMINISTRATION APPROVAL.
<br />AFTER A FULL DISCUSSION OF THE REPORT, UPON MOTION BY M.R. SCRIBNER,
<br />SECONDED BY MR, WEINBERG, IT WAS UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED THAT SUCH BIDS BE
<br />AND THEY ARE HEREBY APPROVED AS TFiE LOWEST AND BEST BEDS RECEIVED, ANp THAT
<br />THE MAYOR BE AND HE HEREBY IS AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE ON BEIiALF OF THE CITY
<br />OF CHARLOTTESVILLE THE CONTRACTS CONTEMPLATED BY SUCH BIDS SUBJECT ~A~ TO
<br />THE APPROVAL OF BIDS AND CONTRACTS BY THE CIVIL AERONAUTICS ADMINISTRATION
<br />AND ~B~ THE AGREEMENT BY THE CIVIL AcRONAUTICS ADMINISTRATION TO INCREASE
<br />ITS PRESENT TENTATIVE ALLOTMENT SO THAT IT WILL PA1' ONE-HALF OF THE TOTAL
<br />COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS, INCLUDING ENGINEERING SERVICCS.
<br />AND BE IT FURTNcR RESOLVED THAT THE COUNCIL AGREES TO APPROPRIATE
<br />~S,000.OO OR SO MUCH THEREOF AS WILL BE NEEDED TO SUPPLEMENT THE FUNDS
<br />ALREADY APPROPRIATED FOR THIS WORK.
