A Resolution appropriating $1,500 for survey of city water plant.

<br />Resolved by the Board of Aldermen, the Common Council Concurring

<br />That the sum of $1,500. or so much thereof as may necessary, be and is
<br />
<br />hereby appropriated to have a complete survey made of the water consumption of the
<br />
<br />City, with a view to discovering any wastage of same.

<br />A Resolution granting a permit to the Standard Oil Co. ( N. J. ) to erect a steel

<br />tank in the corporate limits.
<br />
<br />Whereas the Standard Oil Co. (N.J. ) has made application for a permit to erect the
<br />
<br />following construction on lot, located at Charlottesville, Va., within the corporate
<br />
<br />limits of the city of Charlottesville, Va, One 10'4 x 26' steel tank, for the
<br />
<br />storage and sale of Petroleum , products, said tank to be placed on a 6" concrete
<br />
<br />foundation, therefore be it Resolved, by the Common Council of the City of Char-
<br />
<br />lottesville, the Board of Aldermen concurring, That the permission be and the same
<br />
<br />is hereby granted the Standard Oil Company (N. J.) to erect said construction in
<br />
<br />accordance with the said application.

<br />Resolved, by th Common Council, the Board of Aldermen concurring,

<br />Settlement That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to settle the claim of
<br />
<br />the Misses Alexander for damages and expenses arising from the death of their father
<br />
<br />W. A. Alexander caused by injuries received on on West Main Street November 3,1918 by
<br />
<br />City Fire apparatus, in the sum of $275. when he shall have verified the respective
<br />
<br />items of the said claim.
