AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 91 OF CHAPTER 18 OF <br />THE CITY CODE OF 1945 ENTITLED "BOND OR INSJRA]CE RE(,UIRED OF OPERATORS". <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 91 <br />of Chapter 18 of the Charlottesville City Code of 1945 be and the same is hereby <br />amended and reenacted to read as follows: <br />Section 91 Bond Or Insurance Required of Operators. <br />Every person operating motor vehicles or taxis for hire within the ' <br />city shall be required to give a satisfactory bond in the sum of five <br />thousand dollars, to cover any liability that might result to persons or <br />property from such operations; provided, that such bond shall not be re- <br />quired when the owner of such vehicle shall take out and keep in force, <br />public liability and property damage insurance in some company authorized <br />to do business in this state on each motor vehicle as follows: <br />Fifteen thousand dollars for loss sustained by the insured by reason of <br />bodily injury to, or death of any one person in one accident. <br />Thirty thousand dollars for loss sustained by the insured by reason of <br />bodily injury to, or death of more than one person in any one <br />accident. <br />Five thousand dollars for damages to property of any person other than <br />the insured. <br />Such policies or certificates thereof shall be deposited with the <br />City Manager. (Code 1932, Sec. )+89(74).) <br />Adopted by the Council January 7, 1946 <br />Ayes: lair. Adams, Dr. Gleason, Lr. Hildreth, <br />Dr. Dorris, and Dr. Vatson. <br />Noes: None, x1 <br />President <br />Aid ORDIIANCE AldEND'ING SECTION 1 OF CHAPTER 7 OF THE CITY CODE ' <br />OF 1945 ENTITLED "DEFINITIONS". <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section <br />1 of Chapter 7 of the City Code of 19,45 entitled "Definitions", be and the same <br />is hereby amended by inserting among the definitions herein contained between <br />the definitions of "Hotel" and "Incombustible llaterialtt the following language: <br />t'Hospital. A building intended, designed or used for the cure and care of the <br />sick, accomodating not lees than twenty-five patients". <br />This ordinance shall be in force from the date os its passage and all <br />ordinances in conflict therewith are hereby repealed. <br />Adopted by the Council February 18, 1946 <br />Ayes: :1r.
