THE UTILITITIES COMMITTEE <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL, MAY IN SUCH INSTNACES AS IT, IN ITS OPINION, CONSIDER THE INSTALLATION OF SUCH A METER TO <br />BE IMPRACTICAL, ESTABLISH A FORMULA WHICH WILL BE CALCULATED TO REQUIRE SUCH PERSON TO PAY THE SEWER CHARGE ONLY ON <br />• THAT PART OF THE WATER USED BY SUCH PERSON WHICH ULTIMATELY REACHES THE CITY SEWERS. <br />(D) THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO DISCONNECT AND CEASE FURNISHING WATER TO ANY <br />CUSTOMER WHO IS DELINQUENT IN THE PAYMENT OF HIS SEWER CHARGES AFTER THE FIFTEENTH DAY SUBSEQUENT TO THE <br />RENDERING OF A STATEMENT. <br />SECTION 35-2. RATES. <br />WATER RATES SHALL BE AS FOLLOWS: <br />CONSUMERS INSIDE CITY. <br />MINIMUM CHARGE (300 CU. FT.) .............................. $2.00 <br />ALL OVER 300 CU. FT. PER 1,000 CU. VAN YAHRES <br />NOES: NONE <br />PRESIDENT <br />• AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, <br />1965, BY ADDING IN CHAPTER 32 NEW SECTIONS NUMBERED 32-6 <br />THROUGH 32-29 RELATING TO PROCEDURES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE <br />OPERATION OF TAXICABS, AND TO REENACT THE PRESENT SECTION 32-6 <br />RELATING TO AMBULANCE SERVICE PERMITS WITHOUT CHANGE AS SECTION <br />32-30. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE: <br />1. THAT THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1965, BE AMENDED BY ADDING SECTION 32-6 THROUGH <br />32-29, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 32-6. CARRYING SEVERAL PASSENGERS TO DIFFERENT DESTINATIONS. <br />IN CASES WHERE MORE THAN ONE PASSENGER ENTERS A TAXICAB AT THE SAME TIME BOUND FOR DIFFERENT <br />DESTINATIONS, THE FARE SHALL BE AS FOLLOWS: WHENEVER A PASSENGER GETS OUT AND PAYS THE FARE THE METER SHALL <br />BE RESET UPON THAT PASSENGER'S DEPARTURE, BUT WHEN PASSENGERS GETTING OUT DO NOT PAY THE FARE, THE FARE <br />SHALL BE PAID BY THE LAST PASSENGER DELIVERED. <br />• SECTION 32-7. ACCEPTANCE OF ADDITIONAL PASSENGERS. <br />WHENEVER ANY TAXICABS IS OCCUPIED BY A PASSENGER, THE DRIVER SHALL NOT PERMIT ANY OTHER PERSON <br />EXCEPT A PAID EMPLOYEE OF THE TAXICAB OWNER BEING TRANSPORTED FOR BONA FIDE BUSINESS PURPOSES, TO OCCUPY OR <br />
