Bograd, <br />Jean S. Chase, Alvin Edwards, John Gaines, Blair Hawkins, Kenneth Wayne Jackson, <br />Sue Lewis, Joseph Mooney, Chad Everette Thorne, David Randle, Peggy Van Yahres, <br />and Karen Waters. <br /> <br />The public hearing was opened. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dimitra A. Costan, 202 Riverside Avenue, a 4th grade teacher in City schools, <br />asked that Council support Peggy Van Yahres for a second term on the School Board. <br />She said Ms. Van Yahres is dedicated to the job and has helped children achieve. She <br />said it is important to teachers that there be stability on the Board. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Hunter, 707 Cynthianna Avenue, said he is a teacher in City schools and <br />also supports Peggy Van Yahres. He said Ms. Van Yahres had made herself available to <br />speak to teachers in a collaborative fashion and is committed to students and the schools. <br /> <br /> Mr. William Atwood, 708 Park Street, supported Alvin Edwards for <br />appointments. He said Rev. Edwards has always been very involved with children and is <br />a very steady person. He said he is a steadfast supporter of children. <br /> <br /> <br />
