<br /> The $50,000 Rental Rehabilitation Program appropriation which was
<br />offered: at the March 4th meeting was approved by the following vote. Ayes:
<br />Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: None.

<br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia,
<br />that ail funds to be receivedby the Grants Fund from the Virginia Housing
<br />Development AuthoYity for a rental rehabilitation program, estimated at
<br />$S0,000 are hereby appropriated to the CharlOttesville Redevelooment and
<br />Housing Authority (CRHA). These funds shall be expended by. CRHA for the
<br />rehabilitation of rental housing units in accordance with the requirements
<br />of 24 C.F.R. Part Sll.and other applicable federal and state-laws and
<br />regulations.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Hendrix explained that this appropriation had been increased from
<br />$6,571 to $8,571 as a result of action taken by the MetropOlitcan Planning
<br />Organization.
<br />
<br /> On motion by Dr. Gunter,. seconded by Dr. Hall, the appropriation was
<br />unanimously amended to reflect the increase.

<br /> The $8,S7. Transit Parking Study appropriation which was offered at
<br />the March 4th meeting was approved, as amended, by the-following-vote.
<br />Ayes: Mr-. Barnes, Mr; BuCk, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Guner, Dr. Hall. Noes:

<br /> WHEREAS, the .Council has previously ~pproved the appropriation of
<br />certain sums of federal grant receipts to specified accounts in the Grants
<br />Fund; and
<br />
<br />None.

<br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Pl.anning Organization has approved the
<br />allocation of additional funds to the City of Charlottesville- now,
<br />therefore ' '
<br />
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia,
<br />that the sum of $8,571 is hereby appropriated to the expenditure account
<br />11-33080 in the. Grants Fund for a parking study to be Conducted under an
<br />agreement with the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission pursuant
<br />to a Section 8 transit technical studies grant received by TJPDC from the
<br />Urban Mass Transit Administration '(UMTA), a Section 112 planning and
<br />programming grant received by TJPDC from the Federal Highway Administration
<br /> (FHA) and the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation (VDH&T).
<br />
<br /> This appropriation shall be subject to the receipt by the Grants Fund
<br />of $3,975 in FHA funds and $352 in VDH&T funds: The sum of $349 is
<br />appropriated from the unappropriated fund balance of the General Fund to
<br />expenditure account 01-33020 to be transferred to the Grants Fund as the
<br />City's share of such grant.
